A Close Encounter

Sunday, 21 July 2013

Swept off in a carriage with a faulty door and a charming coachman. Babes in tow, a trip to the big smoke. Relax, in an oasis in the concrete. A close encounter with nature that has had to adapt. Baby gurgling, boy laughing in the shade of the hot Irish sun.!!!! Gourmet food, washed down by delicious red wine. Reminded once again of great friendships separated by oceans. The new generation sit side by side unaware of the history behind. Wondering what I did to deserve good friends like these. A hug from those arms gaining strength daily, nothing can compare. Homeward bound, back to the heart. A warm greeting from a little boys best friend. The noise returns to the peace left behind.
